About the event

On May 13, 2021, the Agam Agenda held an event with Keys Secondary School based in Mandaluyong, Metro Manila, Philippines to talk about how we can act on the climate crisis through science, art, and activism. Among the panelists were Institute for Climate and Sustainable Cities (ICSC) Executive Director Renato Redentor Constantino, Agam Agenda’s Lead Strategist for Creative Collaboration Padmapani Perez, and Agam Youth Volunteer Pilar Medina.

An inspiring talk for high school students, teachers/educators, and young activists, the discussion tackles the following questions:

  • What is the role of the humanities (visual art, poetry, and storytelling) in the climate crisis?
  • How can we engage the issue of climate change without being intimidated by academic jargon?
  • Who works in engaging and aiding those affected by the climate crisis?
  • What is the work of ICSC and Agam Agenda in reimagining the climate crisis, and bringing together unique voices to collaborate?
  • How can young people be more involved in issues like climate change, more than just a specific niche or profession?
