Former Strategist for Creative Mobilization and Partnerships, Agam Agenda
María is a Colombian-Curaçaoan communicator, facilitator, ecofeminist activist and creative mind. Her previous work with EJAtlas and other research institutions, and current projects with Oxfam GB and Agam Agenda, are all guided by the need to reimagine and expand narratives around justice and ‘development’.
She holds an MSc in Anthropology and International Development from the London School of Economics and is a recipient of the Sala d’Art Jove grant for young artists in Spain. In addition to her facilitation work in NGO and movement spaces, she has worked as a researcher with a focus on socio-environmental conflicts, Indigenous rights, and the linkages between gender and climate justice at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology at the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Center for Latin American Research and Documentation at the University of Amsterdam.
