SHARM EL-SHEIKH, EGYPT – When Is Now, Agam Agenda’s global campaign that aims to lift arts and culture into climate policy arenas, is part of four side events at the 27th Conference of Parties (COP), taking place in Egypt this November. Discussions and decision-making around climate challenges must include culture and the arts. Together with Agam Agenda, artists and poets around the world are magnifying the role of culture at COP27.

Nazrin Castro, Manager of The Climate Reality Project Philippines, presents Poets for Climate, a collaborative project between When Is Now and three branches of Climate Reality that bring together poets from around the world to read and write poems together on climate change. Learn how art and poetry connects those at the frontlines of the climate crisis. 

Arts for Climate

A panel of four speakers explore how emotions can be a meaningful tool to mobilize a vibrant vision of climate and social justice. Arts for Climate is a collaborative project between the David Suzuki Foundation and the Climate Reality Project branches in the Philippines, Canada, and Africa. Through the project, poets crafted three- and four-line pieces to stir readers’ imaginations, and artists created posters showcases in the Hear My Anger! Exhibit. Learn more.
