We are conscious of the communicative challenges of science and policy, and we believe art has the power to open space for dialogue and understanding, and to move people in ways jargon cannot.
Agam: Filipino Narratives on Uncertainty and Climate Change (2014)
Agam is preparing to launch a new podcast this year featuring authors from Agam: Filipino Narratives on Uncertainty and Climate Change reading their original works and sharing their wisdom and ideas on the intersections of storytelling and climate change. We’re excited to be partnering with Far Eastern University. We’re working with FEU Communications students to develop a series of minisodes, and utilizing the recording studio of the Department of Communications at the Institute for Arts and Sciences from time to time.
The podcast is for writers, students and advocates. In facing the harsh realities of climate change, we aim to engage listeners in re-imagining, hoping, and fighting for a gentler, kinder world. We hope to build a bridge for artists and poets, whose visions we need more than ever now, to inspire a new generation of conscious activists. Listeners will be encouraged to engage further with us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, and find new ways to get involved.
The podcast will be produced at least monthly and you will be able to subscribe via iTunes and other online platforms including at www.agam.ph. Stay tuned!
